The Submarine House, built in Dayton in 1973, was the first to introduce to Ohio the East Coast Cheese Steak. Perfecting the thin-sliced steak, high quality Italian roll, and sautéed toppings and cheese, the Submarine House gives customers a true taste of Philly. The loaded, made-to-order sub became our trademark. Since then, we’ve gone down in Dayton history as the best sub for the money.

Today, our concept has expanded beyond just an East Coast sub shop. The Submarine House Bar & Grill offers customers a full menu featuring numerous Philly cheese steak options, salads, oven toasted deli subs, appetizers, desserts and more! The franchise is designed to generate revenue from additional sources, including our full bar service with a wide array of mixed drinks, beers and wines. The fast-casual environment with large screen televisions, game consoles, NTN Trivia and live music appeals to all crowds - making this original restaurant a new Ohio classic.
