Since then we’ve gone down in Dayton history as the best sub for the money. Legend has it that customers have starved themselves for days yearning for the taste they crave – a Submarine House sub. We don’t recommend going down this route.

That’s why we’ve opened 9 locations in the area to better serve you. Without a doubt, at Submarine House we go the extra inch.
 
   
 





As the oldest sub house in Dayton, we have a few more inches of experience.


Our very first restaurant was built in 1973 on Brown Street near the University of Dayton. It was a true original. We were the first in the area to introduce the east coast style “Cheesesteak” Sub. We sold so many, it became our trademark.

So we started offering more. More cheese. More steak. More sub. We created the Super Cheesesteak for the best eaters. Super Duper Cheesesteak for the elite. A whopping 1.5 lbs. of steak.
